If you haven’t heard of Uncle Rocco’s Barbershop, you possibly have been living under a rock. It’s possibly Melbournes most prestigious barber shop. Very traditional and specialised in the classic barber service.  The owner Fabian Sfameni’s is a third-generation barber and has build his career over the last 26 years. Not only in Melbourne, but also in the United States. Luckily he opened in 2012 Uncle Rocco’s Barbershop in Port Melbourne.  

Can we talk about the reviews for a second? If you can get an astonishing average 4.9 out of more than 400 reviews, you deserve to be number 1! And all that expertise for a very “average” price. Uncle Rocco’s Barber Shop is our favourite Melbourne barber.

Pickings & Parry is one of those very well known barber shops who do sell menswear too. They might even be the best rated barber shops in Melbourne. With over a hundred google reviews with the average rating the 5 star maximum, Pickings & Parry might be the best barbershop to visit. We highly recommend you visiting the website as all their services and prices are easy to find.

Nice to know, they are opened seven days a week. For a cut, a menswear shop and a quality beverage. The beverage is on the house with every appointment! Just how we like it.

Right in Brunswick East you can find Electric Brain Barbershop. It’s one of our favourite barber shops to visit in Melbourne. Easy to book online as they keep it simple with just two types of services. You eater visit for a buzz cut, or a haircut for a very good price.

We had heard of this place, we have seen the reviews on this place and then we had to visit. And I can tell you, the average google reviews rating of 4.7 out of 243 votes is well deserved! The team is warm and welcoming and in the mornings you might be welcomed with more warmth in a nice cup of coffee. They never keep you waiting for too long and always stay chatty to avoid any uncomfortable silences. And we haven’t even talked about the actual haircut. These people know what they are doing. Absolute brilliant work and quick in the fingers. 

We put this one high on our list, what about you? If you like the vintage bike style shop, you might just want to visit for that alone. Don’t wait!

No wonder he is one of our favourite “small” barbers in Melbourne. He is not only there to give you a quick cut, he wants you to be able to rock your hair the way you like it everyday. In his own words, “Hair grooming should act as an education for the client also, and I aim to provide styling and shave advice to make your look more effortless.”

You walk out with an amazing cut with a low maintenance style. Ever since 2005 Sam had been cutting hair at tis location. We say, visit!

If we have to describe Brother Wolf Barber Shop in one word, it would be “knowledgeable”. Why? Because they are now only barbers, but also teachers. For $120 AUD you can attend the workshop. It’s a great course, “for beginners or anyone looking to brush up on certain areas”. The next workshop will include 4 demonstration hairstyles, “including a crop, a fade, scissor work and afro hair”. Join the 1st of March or go there to get an amazing cut yourself. You can visit the barber at St Kilda (google review 4.5 out of 115 votes!) or at Prahran (with an amazing 4.7 out of 265 votes).

Dr Follicles is a barber shop that is hard to pinpoint. We have included them because we have heard some great stories, but the reviews go eater way. That’s why we’ve placed them in the middle of our Melbourne’s barber shop list. Their cuts an expertise is amazing as they have many customers that have been going back for over 10 years. But, the prices are quite high, you can’t book online and sometimes have to wait for quite a bit. But, if you can be patient while waiting for your great cut, you wont be disappointed.
